CHIEF JUSTICE OPENS MODERN COURT COMPLEX AT AKROPONG.
It was all joy and estasy when the Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Akwasi Anin Yeboah cut the tape to open a beautiful court edifice befitting the Akropong District Court.
The colourful event took place at Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region on Friday May 29, 2020 .
Enthused with the fully furnished court building, organisation of the event, coupled with adherence to restrictions on social gathering and other protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID -19, the Chief Justice said he was happy that the District Authorities, the Member of Parliament, and traditional leaders were promoting administration of justice and rule of law, and asked others to emulate their good example.
He saluted the effort of the District Assembly repeatedly and praised them for taking care of residential accommodation for resident judge of the court.
His Lordship, Anin Yeboah was joined by Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio, MP, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, DCE, Mr Kaleem Abdallah Adam, District Coordinating Director, Mr Richard Apietu, Deputy Judicial Secretary, prominent chiefs in the District, staff of the District Assembly, and regional and sectoral heads of the Judicial Service to commission the court building.
